Baby carts: up to 50 paletas
About 22.5 by 19 inches and 19 inches high, a baby cart fits on a table, in a party room or in the back of a car. It’s made for birthdays, showers, indoor events and pop-ups where you serve a few dozen guests and want the look of a classic cart. Like our bigger carts, it’s fully insulated and needs no electricity.
Small carts: up to 200 paletas
At roughly 37 to 39 inches long, a small cart carries four times as much as a baby cart and is still easy to handle. It suits smaller events, school and church functions, and short routes. Choose thick tires for smooth ground, or bicycle tires if you’ll push it outdoors.
Standard carts: up to 400 paletas
The standard cart is the classic paletero’s cart, built for street vending and busy events. It holds up to 400 popsicles or three 3-gallon tubs, and most models ride on 20-inch bicycle tires with a swivel caster at the front for easy pushing over curbs and grass. You can choose:
- Fenders over the wheels for a finished look
- An XL door about 25 inches wide, instead of the standard 14 inches, for easier loading
- Three top openings for serving several flavors quickly
- Trim and color: chrome, white or gold trim, and colors such as pink or mint
Tall carts: same capacity, a little taller
Tall carts hold the same 400 paletas as standard carts but stand a bit higher. On our fender models, for example, the tall version is 40 inches high and the standard is 36.5 inches. Some vendors find a taller cart more comfortable to push and serve from all day. Our tall carts also come with sliding glass doors, which put your paletas on display at events and shops.
How to choose your size
Answer three questions:
- Where will you sell? Streets, parks and all-day festivals call for a standard or tall cart. Parties and indoor venues suit a baby or small cart.
- How many paletas will you sell on a busy day? Leave some room. Running out at 3 p.m. costs more than carrying extra.
- How will you move and store it? A standard cart weighs about 70 pounds and measures about 38 by 30 inches, so plan for a van, truck or trailer, and a place to park it at night.
